Hawaii State Department of Human Services Data System (HI-DHS)

DHS's mission is to provide timely, efficient and effective programs, services and benefits for the purpose of achieving the outcome of empowering Hawaiʻi's most vulnerable people; and to expand their capacity for self-sufficiency, self-determination, independence, healthy choices, quality of life, and personal dignity. The services are provided through a wide variety of programs. including (1) Benefit, Employment & Support Services Division (BESSD); (2) Social Services Division (SSD); (3) MedQUEST Division (MQD); (4) Office of Youth Services (OYS); and (5) Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR).

There is limited information about the types of data collected across the Divisions. The identification of the data elements collected by DHS overall are guided by a series of reports produced by the Department. See Documentation for detail.
