Naʻau a me Ke Akua Mana

Data on emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.

This lens of Native Hawaiian wellbeing aims to quantify and highlight aspects of mental and emotional wellbeing. The Native Hawaiian concept of mana (spiritual power) and the alignment of kānaka (people) to the sacred by honoring the concepts of hoʻokapu (to place a restriction on something) and hoʻonoa (remove a restriction) are core to thriving Hawaiian communities. Kānaka with purpose and meaning can achieve naʻau pono or inner balance.
